"The Inner Empathy work overall gave me the personal awareness I needed to become very conscious of my disempowering patterns. The course not only helped me deflate these patterns, but gave me the personal tools to notice almost immediately when they stand in my way of being who I really am. This is a new higher level of awareness that I have never experienced." —Meg Hanshaw Ph.D

I have two grown children I love very much. I'm happy to share that I'm at a place in my life where I am living a full life and have many interests. I do a fair amount of hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Being in nature is a life-long passion of mine. I also enjoy photographing the beauty of the mountains and streams. I'm appreciative that my photography has evolved to the point that I have successfully shown and sold my work. That's been quite a thrill! (Here's a website displaying my photographs.
In the warm weather months, you'll see me downtown Asheville, NC in the middle of the drum circle in Pritchard Park playing a Djembe drum. My drumming buddies and I started the drumming circle in the park a few years back. It's a great community event. I enjoy giving back to this community. For me, drumming puts my body into the rhythm of life and allows me to feel the primal pulse. I'm also passionate about writing music and composing songs. Play a little keyboards and guitar.
My greatest passion of all is contributing to other people's lives with the greatest efficiency and impact possible. My creation of the Inner Empathy work is the continuing expression of my passion to contribute to the world in a deep way. I have found the best way to do that is to share my experiences of what I discovered enroute to looking within.
